The most popular wood for drum making, maple is a hardwood that produces maximum resonance, projection and attack. Combined with reinforcement hoops, it can produce a more focused sound and is well suited for live and studio applications. The Santa Monica shells have a brighter and higher pitch then the Collector's Series drums.

Condition:
This is a brand new kit in it's original boxes. These drums were briefly removed from their packaging for a quick video demo and a photo shoot. They were then resealed in their original factory boxes. The drums heads have slight stick and beater marks due to demo.
