Lamb of God's Chris Adler prefers a cranked, dry snare. That's why he chose a 12-inch all-wood shell for the Mapex Warbird, a revved-up version of his signature Black Panther snare. Though small in stature, there's nothing pint-sized about the Warbird's cutting potential. This 100% walnut snare delivers a quick bite that positively slays for genres ranging from gospel to metal. Its etched walnut exterior features artwork by artist K3N (née Ken Adams) of LOG fame. Mapex's SONIClear bearing edges paired with Evans heads give the Warbird a controlled attack and formidable bottom end. You also get a Trick Multi-Stage throw off and premium Puresound snare wires for endless options for snare response.
Possessing a mix of fury and deadly precision, this 12" x 5-1/2" 6-ply maple/walnut shell of the Mapex Warbird Snare delivers an intense, dark punch when tuned low and an explosive pop when cranked high.
The snare is also fitted with Sonic Saver hoops that dramatically reduce stick wear and enhance resonance. Additionally, a cylinder-drive strainer provides smooth adjustment by way of a self-lubricating bearing and "mirco-lock" technology.
